The boys are back after a longer-than-usual drought brought on by Harry Potter and ordering ineptitude. We catch up with some shout-outs to the newly-expanded Double Midnight Comics and PJ Huots new podcast, Most Gross Danger. Ben recounts his numerous awkward interactions with creators at the Baltimore Comic-Con. Then, before the first hour is up, we get into some comic talk, covering Sea Bear & Grizzly Shark, iZombie, DC landmark issues, the conclusion of Ex Machina and of course, Amazing Spider-Man. Along the way you'll learn how to properly order a Cheesesteak and why we crave change in an unchangeable world. In the second half of the show, we put the comics on the shelf and talk Fall TV. With returning favorites like Dexter, the Office and Community; and New debuts like the Event and comics-inspired No Ordinary Family there's plenty to talk about. We learn that Josh is nearly as compulsive about TV as Ben is with comics. Ben reveals his guiltiest pleasure and we wonder, whatever happened to the Simpsons? Finally, in an effort to completely avoid comics, we wrap things up with some talk about pop music and movies. If you like hearing Ben and Josh ramble on about nothing, this is the episode for you. Music in this episode by Reid Genauer, Ben Harper, Dire Straits and Katie Perry w/ Snoop Dogg.
